When praying how would you rate your prayer of thanks to your pleads? Was it like more pleads than thanks? The opposite? Or just balance? I would admit that there are days that I plead more than saying graces. That sometimes I neglect to thank God with the things that I have and the experiences that I have gone though… simply because I am consumed with my desires in life.
As I open the Singles for Christ Global FB Page I was struck with God’s Message: “Give thanks in all circumstances” (1 Thessalonians 1:18). ALL CIRCUMSTANCES… this means even things that are against my own will. After all HE knows what’s best for me and He’ll give what’s my heart’s desire as long as it is for good… in His time.
My prayerLord, I thank you for the opportunity to work abroad despite the loneliness. Because of this I was able to help those who are in financial needs. I thank you for giving me co-workers that challenge my patience and understanding. I know we have different childhood experiences, we are raised differently, and we came from different cultures that made us as a unique individual that needs understanding and acceptance. I thank you for the job that even in my wildest dream I never dreamt of. Because of this some of my desires in life were fulfilled. I believe this is just temporary. I thank you for the motivation that you gave me even I am too tired to wake up as early as 4 in the morning to go to work. I thank you for all the great experiences I’ve been though here in Ca: the camaraderie and the strong bonding with my sister that we’ve never had before. I thank you for the long distance relationship I have with my boyfriend. I know this will test how strong our love for each other. I thank you for my supportive parents and siblings. (By the way, thanks for the brains behind the technology for making communication a lot easier). I thank you for answering my prayers and for showering us with blessings. For everything Oh, Lord… THANK YOU! Amen.
